How QualityClub Works

How do I participate in QualityClub?

QualityClub is a six month online group coaching program for quality managers in health, aged, community, disability and other human services. Because we cover generic quality manager issues, rather than sector-specific technical content, QualityClub is open to anyone who want to enhance their role, right across the human service spectrum.

Each month comprises 2.5 hours of contact plus another optional Q&A hour:

  1. One online 2.5 hour group session per month focuses on one 'soft' skill and one technical skill. The sessions comprise some teaching, from both the literature and personal experience of what works, and a discussion related to the teaching content. Note that the sessions will be held on MS Teams.
  2. One hour of open Q&A with one of the moderators.
  3. See dates and times below.

What does QualityClub Cover? - What we provide:

QualityClub is designed to equip you with key skills and knowledge to evolve the way you manage both your role and a quality system. Because it's based on both best practice and experience, it's suitable for beginners and experienced quality practitioners, as we'll be exploring what works in practice to address common challenges.

Throughout the six months, the coaching sessions will cover content and Q&A on two key areas:

Managing your role:

Managing a quality and clinical governance system:

The monthly Open Q&A Session is where you can ask anything. We can't guarantee an answer for everything, but we'll help you find out!

There will be approximately one hour of preparation required for each session and an expectation that you will apply something learned after each session.

Resources such as templates, tools, videos and further information will be supplied for each session. And you'll be part of a supportive community striving to learn, evolve and have more impact. Sessions will be recorded so participants can access them whenever they feel like a 'refresher.'

At the end of six months, you'll receive a QualityClub Certificate of Completion.

Receiving the certificate of completion requires you completing at least four coaching sessions live (and watching the recording of the live sessions you missed) and attending at least one Q&A session.

BONUS!

QualityClub Members also receive three years free AICG (Australasian Institute of Clinical Governance) Membership! (If you're already an AICG member, your membership will be extended for free for the following two years.) This gives you access to free webinars and resources to support robust clinical governance system development and implementation.

What QualityClub is not! - getting on the same page

QualityClub is about making a quality manager role more effective and satisfying. But there are a few things that it won't - and can't - do, such as:

QualityClub doesn't claim to have all the answers! Creating consistently high quality care in complex human services is a significant challenge. We're all learning. Participation in QualityClub won't solve all your problems - but it will equip you to address common quality manager and quality system issues with more confidence.

Your success depends on your willingness to take action and apply what you've learned. QualityClub will be most effective for you if you enjoy proactivity, and welcome being challenged, taking personal responsibility and developing agency! It also goes without saying - but we'll say it anyway - that QualityClub is conducted under the 'cone of silence' - every human service organisation has quality care and service problems so there's no finger pointing - just learning from each others' wins and losses.

Cost

The pilot program fee is $2,200 per participant (incl GST) which includes:

Pilot Dates (PILOT NOW FULL)
